There’s something so special about sessions that bring multiple generations together—and this one was full of heart from start to finish. I recently had the absolute joy of photographing the sweetest family at Mildred Kanipe Park, and every little detail came together in the most magical way.
We kicked things off with coordinated white outfits, and let me just say—this family understood the assignment. The girls looked adorable in a mix of white tops and the cutest little white dresses, paired with denim, while their brother kept it classic with a white shirt and blue jeans. The simplicity of the color palette against all that lush green made everything pop so beautifully. And of course, having Grams there made it even more meaningful—those multi-generational moments always end up being some of my favorites.
After capturing some full family portraits, we shifted into senior photos for Miss Echoa. Her session was especially meaningful. She lives with CRPS, which makes movement difficult, so we tailored everything to keep her comfortable while still creating stunning images. We focused on seated poses, starting with her cozy knitted white top paired with jeans—effortless, soft, and completely her.
Then she changed into the most gorgeous light orange dress, and WOW—it was absolutely her color. It brought so much warmth to her photos and complemented the natural tones of the park perfectly. We made our way over to the red bridge, which added such a beautiful pop of contrast and texture to her gallery.
One of my favorite parts of the session? The unexpected (but very welcome) guests. A few peacocks wandered over and decided to join us, completely stealing the show for a moment. Mildred Kanipe Park is known for its peacock sanctuary feel, and it definitely delivered. Between the open green spaces, the charming old barn, the bridge, and even a few cows nearby, every corner of the park offered something unique and beautiful.
We wrapped things up with more family photos tucked into the trees, surrounded by all that greenery and natural light. The colors, the connection, the setting—it all came together so effortlessly.
Sessions like this are such a good reminder that it’s not about perfect poses or constant movement—it’s about capturing people as they are, creating space for comfort, and finding beauty in every moment.
This one was truly special.
